It’s me! Penelope!
But YOU can call me Penny ;)
I’m up here in beautiful coastal New England, freezing slices of time in photo format. I’ve been a photographer and graphic designer since 2010 and I’m so lucky to love what I do.
I strive to make my clients feel seen, at ease, and authentic. That’s just how the best pictures are made! There’s a lot of shape-shifting between director, fly-on-the-wall, and all the roles in between which means offering structure in the right moments and simply getting out of the way in others. For many of my clients, being in front of the camera is NOT a cozy place to be, and I do everything I can to make it feel safe and maybe even fun!? Your wedding is a great day to be unabashedly yourself and for someone to capture you doing it.
Fun fact: I went to school for journalism, but photography was my humble (obsessive) hobby. This is probably why my eye turns towards those photo-journalistic moments: the ones that tell a whole tiny story in one frame. It’s fun to combine this style with images with a more editorial flair, when the moment calls for it, and really trying to find the DRAMA.
Another thing: I never forget that for my clients THIS day is THEIR Big Day. I won’t make you feel like I’m just there to hit all the standard beats and squish you into some tired poses that I reuse over and over. I’m there to capture the truest, happiest you. And I promise, you WILL be the happiest you!
So reach out and let’s start a conversation about making some pictures that’ll bring you right back every time you unwrap a slice from the freezer.
Love,
Penny
P.S. I also work with individuals and businesses on branding work and portraits. Know someone who just wouldn’t look right with their head propped on their hands next to a bush in their senior portrait? Send them my way!
